Jim Rojer
Jim Rojer is 21 years old and currently a Bachelor Student in Aerospace Engineering. He aims to finish his Bachelor degree at the Delft University of Technology in 2014. In the previous year, Jim has been involved with Formula Student as the Operations and Finance Manager of the DUT Racing Team 2012. He gained a lot of experience in identifying if plans are realistic or not, and what could possibly go wrong in an event as Formula Student. He always managed to keep the team satisfied on major events, being a crucial factor on the way to the team’s victory.

Dr. Karl Durst
Dr. Karl Durst studied Mechanical Engineering at the Friedrich-Alexander-University of Erlangen, focusing on polymers and design. He graduated in 2004 at Prof. em. Dr.-Ing. Dr. h.c. Gottfried W. Ehrenstein (Lehrstuhl für Kunststofftechnik) and at Prof. Dr. Tim A. Osswald (Polymer-Engineering-Center, University of Wisconsin, USA) with a thesis to the topic „optimization of endless-fiber-reinforced polymer structures“.
From 2004 until 2007 he was a scientific associate at Prof. Dr.-Ing. Klaus Drechsler, Institute for Aircraft Design, University of Stuttgart, developing an algorithm to determine the suitability of structural components for the use of cfrp in automotive industry. In 2008 he finished his PhD with a work called „methodical assessment of the suitability of anisotropic fiber reinforced materials in automotive industry“.
Since 2007 Dr. Durst is working at the Audi Lightweight Design Center on the industrialisation of fiber reinforced polymers (FRP), first in the predevelopment in Neckarsulm, since 2009 in the technology-development FRP in Ingolstadt. Amongst others he is supervising „Audi ultra lightweight technology“.
